Patrick Dempsey, CFP^® has been serving the investment and financial planning needs of his clients for more than 25 years. He holds multiple FINRA securities registrations and insurance licenses through Commonwealth Financial Network, member FINRA/SIPC, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM practitioner. He is currently the President of the Financial Planning Association of San Antonio & South Texas.

Patrick grew up near Buffalo, New York, forever hopeful that tonight's snowstorm might bring about tomorrow's school closing. He earned a BS in computer science from Canisius College in Buffalo, where he raced on the crew team. After graduating, he moved to Florida to pursue his interest in sailing and SCUBA diving. He had the unexpected good fortune to spend the next seven years as an animal trainer with Sea World, initially in Orlando and then in San Antonio, Texas. He has been serving families' financial needs ever since.

Patrick has experienced the joy of being happily married, the difficulty of changing careers, the pain of losing a spouse to breast cancer in his 40s, the demands of raising children as a single parent, the good fortune of remarrying in his 50s, the complexities of a blended family, the loss of parents and the settling of estates. He suggests his personal experience and professional acumen have prepared him well to help you balance preparing for your future while living for today.
